Crypto Payments, DeFi & Web3 Monetisation Specialist

Casini is seeking a Crypto Payments, DeFi & Web3 Monetisation Specialist to support secure crypto-payment operations, wallet administration, treasury reporting, market intelligence, and commercially viable crypto, DeFi, and Web3 initiatives.

This is a remote, full-time role. We welcome international candidates, with Yerevan preferred for occasional team meetings, planning sessions, and in-person collaboration. Ability to travel to Yerevan when reasonably required is an advantage.

This is not a speculative trading or investment-advisory position. We are looking for someone who combines practical crypto knowledge with operational discipline, security awareness, sound commercial judgement, and strong documentation habits.

Key Responsibilities

Crypto Payments & Operations

• Monitor Bitcoin, crypto markets, network conditions, transaction fees, and relevant industry developments.
• Coordinate approved cryptocurrency payments, transfers, wallets, exchanges, and payment-provider workflows within documented security and authorisation procedures.
• Track blockchain transactions and ensure accurate, timely processing and reconciliation.
• Reconcile crypto deposits, withdrawals, wallet balances, exchange balances, payment records, and fiat-settlement records.
• Perform pre-transfer checks: recipient and address verification, correct network and token selection, fee assessment, wallet allowlisting, transaction limits, and approval compliance.
• Maintain transaction logs, wallet registers, treasury reports, supporting documentation, and audit-ready records.
• Investigate delayed, failed, misrouted, disputed, or suspicious transactions and document resolution actions.
• Analyse market and operational data; prepare concise reports and decision-useful insights for management.
• Support the integration, testing, and optimisation of crypto payment solutions, custody providers, on/off-ramp partners, exchanges, and liquidity providers.

Treasury, Security & Risk

• Support crypto liquidity management for approved business needs, including operational payments, contractors, suppliers, customer withdrawals, treasury needs, and emergency requirements.
• Help maintain a wallet architecture that separates long-term treasury, operational liquidity, payroll/contractor funds, customer-payout liquidity, and approved experimental exposure.
• Maintain and periodically test wallet security, key management, access controls, recovery, backup, approval, and incident-response procedures.
• Support appropriate custody models, including cold storage, institutional custody, multi-signature/MPC solutions, exchange accounts, and segregated operational wallets.
• Monitor exposure to asset volatility, stablecoins, counterparties, exchanges, custodians, network congestion, and liquidity constraints.
• Participate in access reviews, wallet-permission reviews, control testing, and incident-response exercises.

Compliance & Controls

• Work with Finance, Operations, Product, Compliance, Legal, and Management on crypto-related initiatives.
• Support AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring/KYT, Travel Rule, recordkeeping, and escalation processes relevant to crypto activity.
• Monitor transactions through blockchain explorers and approved analytics/KYT tools; escalate suspicious, sanctioned, high-risk, or anomalous activity according to policy.

• Support policies for approved assets, networks, recipient-address allowlisting, transaction thresholds, counterparty due diligence, wallet access, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company balances, counterparties, transactions, commercial arrangements, and security controls.

DeFi, Web3 & Monetisation

• Research DeFi, Web3, stablecoin, wallet, and blockchain-infrastructure developments relevant to Casini’s payments, treasury, partnerships, products, and commercial strategy.
• Assess DeFi protocols, DEXs, lending/borrowing, staking, bridges, Layer-2 solutions, and relevant blockchain networks for practical value and risks.
• Evaluate Web3 infrastructure such as wallet connectivity, payment APIs, RPC providers, blockchain data/indexing tools, and smart-contract integrations.
• Identify and propose crypto, stablecoin, DeFi, and Web3 opportunities that can improve payment conversion, reduce costs, improve retention, create partnerships, or generate measurable revenue.
• Analyse the crypto-payment funnel, including deposit initiation, confirmation, balance crediting, withdrawals, and repeat usage; identify friction and recommend improvements.
• Develop business cases for initiatives, covering commercial impact, cost, implementation needs, customer impact, risk, compliance implications, and KPIs.
• Run controlled pilots with relevant teams and recommend whether to scale, improve, or stop an initiative.
• Prepare reporting on crypto acquisition, conversion, active users, payment success rate, fees, withdrawal speed, retention, net revenue contribution, and exceptions.

Requirements

• Strong practical understanding of Bitcoin, blockchain technology, crypto markets, wallets, exchanges, transaction fees, blockchain explorers, and crypto payment flows.
• Experience with crypto payments, wallet or exchange operations, digital-asset treasury, reconciliation, fintech, payments, blockchain, iGaming, or comparable financial operations.
• Good understanding of major blockchain networks, confirmation logic, network congestion, address formats, transaction failures, and stablecoins.
• Strong wallet-security knowledge: hot/cold storage, multi-signature, MPC/custody, access controls, address allowlisting, private-key risk, and recovery procedures.
• Ability to interpret operational and market data, identify meaningful trends, and produce clear reports and recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, reconciliation, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, discretion, and the ability to remain calm during time-sensitive or high-value situations.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. SQL, Python, BI dashboards, payment analytics, or API-based reporting are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate reliably across distributed teams and time zones.
• Willingness to travel to Yerevan for occasional in-person meetings when reasonably required.

DeFi & Web3 Knowledge

• Understanding of DEXs, AMMs, liquidity pools, lending/borrowing, collateralisation, liquidations, staking, governance, and token economics.
• Familiarity with self-custodial wallets, wallet-connection flows, RPC providers, token standards, dApps, smart-contract interactions, and on-chain data.

• Understanding of smart-contract and on-chain risks, including malicious approvals, phishing/signature scams, compromised front ends, exploits, oracle manipulation, bridge risk, liquidity risk, governance attacks, and stablecoin depegs.
• Ability to verify the network and token contract, review a basic transaction, identify relevant token approvals, and recognise when an action requires escalation.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OTC, custody providers, wallet infrastructure, payment orchestration, exchange APIs, crypto treasury tools, or blockchain analytics/KYT platforms.
• Experience with USDT and USDC settlement across relevant networks, including Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Bitcoin, or other business-relevant networks.
• Experience using DEXs, liquidity pools, lending protocols, staking platforms, bridges, and Web3 wallets in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with EVM-compatible networks, Solana, smart-contract risk assessment, DeFi protocol due diligence, on-chain data analysis, APIs, JSON-RPC, webhooks, or event indexing.
• Armenian and/or Russian language skills.

Security, Compliance & Commercial Guardrails

• Follow strict controls for wallet access, transaction preparation, approvals, allowlisting, and recordkeeping.
• Do not connect company wallets to unapproved dApps, browser extensions, websites, smart contracts, networks, or providers.
• Do not sign transactions, messages, permits, token approvals, or wallet-connection requests without verifying the domain, network, contract address, action, and internal authorisation.
• Treat unlimited token approvals, unverified contracts, new bridges, unknown liquidity pools, and unaudited smart contracts as high risk and subject to escalation.
• Material crypto, DeFi, token, loyalty, or partnership initiatives require the appropriate internal approval before launch.
• The role does not include unapproved proprietary trading, misleading yield claims, market manipulation, or incentives designed to bypass responsible-gaming, AML, KYC, sanctions, consumer-protection, or jurisdictional requirements.
• The priority is secure, transparent, compliant, and sustainable commercial growth—not token speculation or short-term volume.
