Senior Project Manager - Financial Services

On behalf of a leading organization operating within the financial services sector in Albania, talent.al is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its growing project management function in Tirana.

This is a senior, customer-facing project management role suited to someone who has successfully delivered complex projects within banking or financial institutions and is comfortable managing scope, budget, timelines, stakeholders and project teams from initiation through delivery.

You will work in a structured project environment and take ownership of complex engagements, ensuring successful delivery while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects and/or programs.
• Own project scope, budget, timeline and quality.
• Develop project plans, schedules and forecasts and continuously monitor progress.
• Coordinate project resources and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Manage communication with customers, stakeholders and project teams.
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities and take appropriate action.
• Monitor project/program performance and prepare regular reporting.
• Manage customer expectations and handle escalations when required.
• Ensure high standards of service and delivery quality.
• Contribute to project/program profitability and efficient resource utilization.
• Identify opportunities for process, practice and delivery improvements.
• Capture lessons learned and implement continuous improvements.

• Support innovation and the development of project management practices.
• Contribute to the development and mentoring of less-experienced project professionals.

• 7–10+ years of professional experience, with significant experience in project management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance) or equivalent experience.
• PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
• Previous professional experience within banking or a financial institution – mandatory.
• Proven experience managing complex projects and/or programs.
• Strong understanding of Waterfall project management and structured project delivery.
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resources, timelines and risks.
• Strong stakeholder and customer-management experience.
• Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Waterfall / Agile practices
• JIRA
• MS Project
• Project reporting and monitoring tools
• Planning and forecasting methodologies

The role is based in Tirana, Albania.

Candidates currently based in Kosovo or elsewhere in the Balkan region may also be considered, provided they are willing to relocate to Tirana. Relocation support and the relevant work-permit process will be considered where applicable.
