Your Mission

Build and lead a unified HR function that lets Emotion scale confidently across Portugal, the Netherlands, India, and the UAE, ensuring every employee is supported by consistent, locally compliant HR practices, while acting as a trusted partner to the CEOs on the people decisions that shape the company's growth.

What You'll Do

• Head of HR for a 150-person company across four countries: Portugal, Netherlands, India, and UAE; reporting directly to the CEO;
• Responsible for the full HR function across all offices, including compliance with four distinct labor frameworks (Portuguese, Dutch, Indian, and UAE), multi-market compensation and grading, payroll, and employee data governance under GDPR and equivalent local regulations;
• Manage and develop local HR teams in Lisbon and India. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, management, and employee relations across all markets. Handles international mobility, work permits, and cross-border processes;
• Acts as strategic HR partner to executive leadership on organizational design, headcount planning, and workforce decisions.

What We're Looking For

Mandatory

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years leading HR across multiple countries or regions:
• Solid working knowledge of Portuguese labor law plus demonstrated ability to operate across other jurisdictions' labor frameworks (Dutch, Indian, and/or UAE experience is a strong plus);
• Hands-on experience with multi-market compensation and grading design, payroll oversight, and HR data governance under GDPR or equivalent regulations;
• Proven track record managing and developing HR teams, including remotely across different countries and cultures;
• Comfortable acting as a strategic partner to executive leadership on organizational design, headcount planning, and workforce strategy, not only on HR operations;
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at C-level;
• Fluent in English; Portuguese fluency required, additional languages a plus given the multi-country scope;
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in HR is a plus.
