## About the Role

Recruiting from Scratch is seeking a **Software Engineer, AI Agents** for a fast-growing Series C company building AI-powered customer engagement and intelligent decisioning systems. The company combines large language models, product engineering, data infrastructure, and intelligent automation to help businesses transform customer data into personalized actions across their business tools.

In this role, you’ll build production-grade **AI agents, LLM pipelines, backend systems, and AI-powered product experiences** for enterprise customers. You’ll work directly with company leadership, including the CTO and COO, to define AI architecture, prototype new product lines, and take major initiatives from concept through production. This is an opportunity for a product-minded engineer who enjoys 0→1 development, technical ownership, and building AI systems with significant customer and business impact.

## Key Responsibilities

- Design and build production-ready AI agents that automate customer engagement and marketing workflows.

- Prototype and rapidly iterate AI-powered product experiences using modern LLMs and AI frameworks.

- Build scalable backend systems supporting AI-powered decision-making and intelligent automation.

- Develop production-grade LLM pipelines capable of solving complex customer problems.

- Build AI agents that analyze customer data, generate insights, and recommend business actions.

- Work directly with the CTO and COO to prototype new AI product lines from concept through production.

- Evaluate emerging AI models, frameworks, and methodologies to determine appropriate production architectures.

- Design scalable backend services supporting AI workflows and enterprise customer data.

- Build highly reliable production systems capable of serving enterprise-scale workloads.

- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to create intuitive AI-assisted user experiences.

- Make key technical decisions involving AI architecture, backend systems, and product direction.

- Improve engineering quality, scalability, performance, and reliability across AI products.

- Take ownership of major product initiatives from concept through launch.

## Required Qualifications

- **5–12 years of software engineering experience**.

- Experience building core product features at high-growth, venture-capital-backed startups.

- Experience shipping **AI-powered production products** from concept through launch.

- Experience working in **Series C–F startup environments** or similarly fast-growing companies.

- Experience building products with significant customer and business impact.

- Demonstrated progression in ownership, technical scope, or engineering leadership.

- Strong backend software engineering experience.

- Strong product mindset with demonstrated ability to build **0→1 products**.
