Job Summary
Overall Purpose:
The Team Leader is responsible for managing a team of IT specialists in the delivery, support, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications and related technology solutions. The role ensures the effective execution of assigned projects, operational activities, and support services, while maintaining application stability, service quality, and adherence to established standards and procedures. The job holder provides technical guidance, allocates and monitors workload, supports the development of team members, and contributes directly to implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. The role combines people leadership with hands-on technical involvement to ensure the reliable operation and ongoing enhancement of the Bank's enterprise application environment.
Key Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for:
PROJECT & DELIVERY
▪ Coordinating and contributing to the delivery of projects, initiatives, and operational activities.
▪ Supporting Agile/SAFe planning, estimation, and execution of team deliverables.
▪ Managing assigned projects and deputise for senior management when required.
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT
▪ Supporting the design, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise application solutions.
▪ Providing technical guidance and participating in complex delivery, support, and troubleshooting activities.
▪ Promoting the security, reliability, and performance of systems and services.
SERVICE MANAGEMENT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
▪ Overseeing change, release, configuration, and operational support activities.
▪ Monitoring service performance and implementing improvements to service quality, operational efficiency, and user experience
▪ Ensuring effective problem management and adherence to established standards and procedures.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

▪ Mentoring and developing team members to build capability and ensure service continuity.
▪ Coordinating team workload, priorities, and resource utilisation to support effective delivery and support operations.
STAKEHOLDER & VENDOR ENGAGEMENT
▪ Maintaining effective relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.
▪ Supporting stakeholder engagement, service reviews, technical evaluations, and vendor management activities.
This position requires the ability to operate in a 24/7 environment and may include on-call responsibilities.
In addition to the specific functions, management may assign more duties as required for the job from time to time.
Knowledge:
• Bank’s IT Systems and ITSD Processes - Intermediate
• Software Development Principles & Methodologies, including Agile and traditional delivery approaches, Enterprise Application Development, Integration, Testing and Support principles - Advanced
Attitude:

▪ Passion for staying current on lean and agile ways of working
Required Criteria:
Previous proven work experience of six (6) years in an enterprise IT environment or a related area, two (2) years of which managing a team, project or initiative, and An MQF Level 6 Award in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

Previous proven work experience of eight (8) years in an enterprise IT environment or a related area, two (2) years of which managing a team, project or initiative

Previous proven work experience of four (4) years in an enterprise IT environment or a related area, two (2) years of which managing a team, project or initiative and An MQF Level 6 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
Desirable Criteria:
Possess certifications in Project Management, Scrum Master and/or Scaled Agile

Applicants are required to satisfy the Bank’s minimum eligibility criteria of four (4) O’Levels at Grade 5/C or higher, including English Language, in addition to any role‑specific requirements outlined above. This requirement shall not apply where applicants are already in possession of an MQF Level 6 Degree or higher.
