Senior C++ Software Engineer | Low-Latency Trading Systems | Shanghai

I’m partnering with a leading global proprietary trading firm that is expanding its Shanghai engineering team. You’ll design and optimise the globally distributed platform behind its automated trading business, working closely with engineers, traders, and researchers.

The role is open to candidates based in Shanghai and internationally, with full visa sponsorship and relocation support available.

Mandarin is not required. Strong English-speaking engineers are welcome, provided they are genuinely committed to relocating to Shanghai.

Finance Experience Is Not Required The team welcomes excellent C++ engineers from leading technology companies and other technical environments involving:

• Low-latency, real-time, or distributed systems
• Performance and systems optimisation
• Networking, gaming, infrastructure, or embedded software

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Excellent C++ and server-side engineering skills.
• Experience with low-latency, real-time, distributed, or performance-critical systems.
• Strong knowledge of architecture, system design, data structures, and performance optimisation.
• Strong English communication and effective collaboration.
• A genuine passion for solving difficult technical problems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build services across a globally distributed automated trading platform.
• Develop high-throughput, low-latency systems using modern C++.
• Build infrastructure running machine-learning models on high-performance servers.
• Optimise latency, throughput, reliability, and execution quality.
• Own major projects from architecture through production.
• Work directly with traders and researchers to deliver production systems.
