Voyager Tennis is a rapidly growing multi-venue racquet sports business delivering tennis, pickleball and padel programs across Australia.
We are undertaking significant development across our website and digital platforms, including improvements to WordPress, custom-coded pages and applications, new functionality, system integrations and redesigned customer journeys.
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Web Developer & Digital Systems Specialist for an ongoing, long-term role. Following the major development phase, this person will continue to manage, maintain and improve our website while supporting campaigns, new venues and future digital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Web Development and Digital Projects
- Develop and enhance our website through both WordPress and custom-coded solutions.
- Build webpages, applications, templates, tools and reusable components from the ground up.
- Recommend whether each requirement is best delivered through custom development, an existing platform, a WordPress plugin or a combination of approaches.
- Develop responsive front-end experiences using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Complete back-end development using PHP or other appropriate technologies.
- Build and manage APIs, databases and integrations with third-party systems.
- Improve website architecture, navigation, speed, security and scalability.
- Troubleshoot code issues, plugin conflicts, integration failures and performance problems.
- Maintain appropriate staging, version control, testing, backup and deployment processes.
- Produce clear technical documentation for important code, integrations and system changes.
Website and Campaign Execution
- Build landing pages for programs, trials, events, promotions and new venues.
- Manage website content across multiple venues, programs and sports.
- Maintain accurate schedules, prices, forms, booking links and calls to action.
- Test complete customer journeys from webpage through to registration, payment or booking.
- Proactively identify and correct broken links, outdated information, errors and inconsistencies.
- Implement technical and on-page recommendations provided by our SEO specialist.
- Support Google Analytics, advertising pixels, conversion tracking and reporting.
- Complete detailed quality-assurance testing before developments or campaigns go live.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive web and marketing processes using AI tools and system integrations.

Essential Experience
- Strong professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Advanced capability in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Back-end development experience using PHP or another relevant server-side language.
- Strong WordPress development experience, including themes, templates and plugins.
- Ability to build custom-coded solutions without relying entirely on page builders or plugins.
- Experience working with APIs, databases, forms and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of responsive design, website security and performance optimisation.
- Ability to independently scope, build, test, deploy and maintain website solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing reliable work.
- Ability to balance substantial development projects with ongoing website priorities.
- Experience with, cloud hosting, staging environments, database management, booking or payment platforms, analytics, automation platforms and AI-assisted development tools will be highly regarded.
This Role May Not Be Suitable if you are:
- A general virtual assistant with only basic website-editing experience.
- Limited to page builders or installing pre-existing plugins.
- Unable to develop or troubleshoot custom code independently.
- A developer with no understanding of digital marketing or customer conversion.
- Reliant on others to identify issues or provide detailed execution instructions.
